Darcy (German Shepherd) and I were walking home from the studio a few days ago and we saw another beautiful sunset that Santa Fe is famous for.    Luckily I had my camera and I was able to shoot the sunset through its various stages.  Just image this sunset with much more vivid colors than you see here.   If I were to paint this sunset, I would use the raw brilliant colors straight out of a tube.  Always looking for tips on how to shoot better sunset/sunrise photos with an average camera.  Yes, I do put the setting on "scene" and "sunset" but it just doesn't capture the colors as I am seeing them.
